EIT Opportunity at ADTEC

Advanced Technology Training Center (ADTEC), which is located in Taiping, Perak, is one of 32 training institutes run by Jabatan Tenaga Rakyat (JTM)/Manpower Department, Ministry of Human Resources (MHR).

The centre's vision is to become a leading institution in the development of skilled and competitive workforce; with a mission to produce skilled and competitive workforce. The objective of ADTEC Taiping is to produce skilled manpower in the field of advanced and high-end technologies and continuously improve the quality of skills in the industry and create opportunities for school leavers get skills training. The key role of ADTEC Taiping is to create a competitive talent to meet the needs of advanced technology industries in Malaysia.

ADTEC Taiping offers opportunities for school leavers, graduates from the Skills Training Institutions and employees of the industry to gain knowledge and expertise which can enhance their skills in latest technologies and standard. The training will be conducted at the Microelectronics Fabrication Laboratory in the areas of fabrication, packaging and testing of integrated circuits (ICs):

1. Fabrication of transistors.
2. IC design projects.
3. IC fabrication process.

The students should be interested in the above areas of expertise, must be hardworking, and willing to learn new things. Advantage is for students who have already taken VLSI, semiconductors, and microelectronics, or planning to take these subjects as electives.

Briefing on Graduate Employability Management Scheme (GEMS) 2.0 & Upskilling

Following up on this previous post, the The Department of Political Science in collaboration with Office of Industrial Links (OIL) is organising a briefing for the Upskilling and Graduate Employability Management Scheme (GEMS) 2.0 programmes.

The briefing will be held this Friday, 15 MAY 2015 at the Banquet Hall, Level 5, Rectory Building. Although the briefing is organised by the Department of Political Science, all graduating final year students are highly recommended to attend.

SUKSIS & PALAPES Programmes

EIT students who are participating in SUKSIS or PALAPES programmes during the EIT period are required to submit the EIT Leave Application Form, which is available at the EIT Unit office:

• Attach along with the form an official letter from the programme organiser (SUKSIS or PALAPES) stating clearly the name of the programme, dates, and its compulsory status.
• The completed form and supporting letter should be submitted to the EIT Unit by Friday, 15 MAY 2015.

1. No more supporting letters will be issued to those who have already received EIT placement from a company.
2. If you have received more than one offer for EIT placement, please make sure that you inform the company whose offer you are declining as soon as possible.
