Advanced Technology Training Center (ADTEC), which is located in Taiping, Perak, is one of 32 training institutes run by Jabatan Tenaga Rakyat (JTM)/Manpower Department, Ministry of Human Resources (MHR).

The centre's vision is to become a leading institution in the development of skilled and competitive workforce; with a mission to produce skilled and competitive workforce. The objective of ADTEC Taiping is to produce skilled manpower in the field of advanced and high-end technologies and continuously improve the quality of skills in the industry and create opportunities for school leavers get skills training. The key role of ADTEC Taiping is to create a competitive talent to meet the needs of advanced technology industries in Malaysia.

ADTEC Taiping offers opportunities for school leavers, graduates from the Skills Training Institutions and employees of the industry to gain knowledge and expertise which can enhance their skills in latest technologies and standard. ADTEC Taiping also provides sophisticated equipment system for the success of training to meet industry needs in the country.

The training will be conducted at the Microelectronics Fabrication Laboratory in the areas of fabrication, packaging and testing of integrated circuits (ICs):

1. Fabrication of transistors.
2. IC design projects.
3. IC fabrication process.

The students should be interested in the above areas of expertise, must be hardworking, and willing to learn new things. Advantage is for students who have already taken VLSI, semiconductors, and microelectronics, or planning to take these subjects as electives.
